Lucid is written by Dhamma Pala, a Japanese Theravāda Buddhist monk, ordained in Sri Lanka, whose background includes serving as CMO at investment banks across Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and the United States. He trained for eight years in the Mahasi tradition under teachers across Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia.
These guides are for knowledge workers in busy cities — people who are curious about meditation but haven’t found a way to make it practical. The focus is on what actually works in daily life: the basics done right, and the common misunderstandings cleared up.
The guides draw on peer-reviewed research in neuroscience, cognitive science, and social psychology — and on the practice of looking clearly at how the mind actually works.
Available in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).
